Homestead

Save thousands of dollars on your property tax bill by applying for the $50,000 homestead exemption and portability tax transfer!

If you sold a Florida home and purchased another primary residence you could transfer the prior accumulated exemption to your new home. This can save you thousands of dollars on your property tax bill. Ask us how!

Additional property tax exemptions:

In addition to the standard $50,000 homestead exemption there are a dozen types of additional exemptions you may qualify for. These include:

1) Disabled Veterans
2) Homeowner’s 65 years or older
3) Widow/Widower
4) Deployed for military service
5) “Granny Flat” exemption (if living quarters are provided for parents or grandparents)
6) Disabled homeowners may qualify for additional exemptions
7) Limited income for seniors

Important Notice: If you deeded your property into a trust, life estate or made any changes to how the property is titled the homestead exemption needs to be re-filed. This includes changes to the property ownership due to death or divorce.
